The minute I saw Norah Gaughan's gorgeous top Olivia Bell, I knew, I needed one for myself! Luckily, I was selected as a test knitter and had the joy of diving into the fun early. Norah's cropped top has a garter ridge yoke with stripes in contrast colours and long bell sleeves, where you find the stripes again at the garter ridge cuffs. Olivia Bell is knitted in-the-round from the top down. The back is raised with short rows. No seaming is required. The original pattern is knit with a DK weight yarn. In my vision, I imagined a lighter version with On Stage - Long Métrage and Silk Divine held together throughout, and I am delighted how my Olivia Bell turned out! The main colour in On Stage - Long Métrage is used throughout the entire sweater. I joined one strand of Silk Divine in the matching colour for the MC parts and added on strand each of three contrasting colours in Silk Divine to achieve the stripes.
