The Brillenschaf (sheep with glasses) is one of the rare local breeds in Germany and surrounding countries. It is considered as extremely endangered. It belongs to the Alpine Mountains sheep breeds. Typical for the Brillenschaf are the black markings around the eyes and the black ear tips.
Due to the small number of livestock, the amount of available yarn is limited.
