PORTIA by Natasja Hornby, featured in Laine 10, is a big statement shawl with bold, luxurious cables. It is knitted from tip to edge, then finished with a border that is worked perpendicular to the body. Increases are worked on one side only to achieve an asymmetrical triangular shape.
For her beautiful shawl, Natasja combines NL's delicate, downy Silk Divine with a woollen yarn. For our kits, we combine it with On Stage - Long Métrage for an extra soft and cosy feel.
Natasja knitted her sample shawl with Silk Divine in Ice Cube. We pair it with On Stage - Long Métrage in Moonstruck for our kits. However, there are lots of colour combinations for you to experiment with.
Tipp:
If you prefer additional volume and a woollier look and feel, we suggest replacing Long Métrage by 3 skeins of NL's Homey Svelte in 100% German Merino in 100% German Merino.
