We are thrilled we were able to get our hands on some of Hedgehog Fibres one of a kind Tweedy!

Tweed DK yarn and the coloured bits are from Hedgehog Fibres own hand-dyed waste - the ties they take off the hand dyed skeins. These are saved very diligently and it's a total labour of love!

They have been collecting the ties for a while and finally found a mill that could process these, which means re-carding them, blending and spinning into yarn again. Here is a batch of a lovely taupe, greyish tweed yarn with colourful speckles. We love how neutral it is with a colourful bit here and there. It comes in one colourway only and we think it's just calling for sweaters and cardigans.

It is great that Hedghog Fibres are looking for ways to be more environmentally friendly and to minimise waste. On top of their thread waste, they are using recycled wool, making 50% of the total content recycled. The result is absolutely gorgeous! It's soft, yet woolly. Not superwash and it blooms beautifully after washing.
